What I Love About Austin ~ Beautiful Scenery

Austin is a beautiful and vibrant city.  There's so many things to see and do.  Just taking in the sights or taking photographs of the scenery is a great pass time.  Almost anywhere in Austin would make a great photograph. Downtown Austin is great, but so is downtown Georgetown and so are some of the small towns close to Austin.  Below is our list of great scenes, photo ops, and selfie scenes around our great city.  Take it all in.  It's worth the few minutes it takes to visit any of these scenic views and event locations.

The beauty of Austin is what brings many people to the area and makes Austin a relocation mecca.  If you haven't seen any one of the locations on our list, you just have to take the time to visit, photograph or enjoy all that the city has to offer.

The Pennybacker Bridge Google Maps, Mount Bonnell Mount Bonnell, are some of the best places for panoramic views of down town and the Colorado River.  And the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge,and Ann and Roy Butler Hike-And-Bike Trail and Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake Ann And Roy Butler Hike-And-Bike Trail, are some of Austin's well known scenic hot spots.

There are also many places that offer great views and exciting events that are great for photographs. The Circuit of the Americas Circuit of the Americas makes for great action photographs and the Oasis on Lake Travis is great for sunsets. The ambiance at Mozart’s Coffee Mozart's Coffeeis a peaceful place to spend the afternoon watching the boats on Lake Austin.

The Capital Building Texas State Capital, both inside and out is not just a piece of Texas history and the State’s seat of government, but is a beautiful piece of architecture. Close by is downtown Downtown Austin with a beautiful skyline that didn’t exist 15 years ago.

Hamilton Pool Hamilton Pool is a natural wonder that can be breath taking and makes for great photographs. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center  is also a great place to take in nature, along with Zilker Botanical Garden Zilker Botanical Garden and Barton Springs Pool Barton Springs Pool.

And the University of Texas, UT Tower UT Tower is a true Texas landmark. On occasion, it is lit in orange and sometimes even lit with the number, “1”, when UT sports has reached a pinnacle.  It's also a great place for panoramic views.

The city lends itself to photography and outings in places like South Congress Avenue South Congress Avenue, Sixth Street Sixth Street and Rainey Street Rainey Street, for people watching.

The number of unique and scenic places in Austin is amazing.  It's time to get out and see the city!
