All Genders, Lifestyles and Identities Film Festival (aGLIFF)
aGLIFF is the oldest and largest gay and lesbian film fest in the Southwest and the largest LGBTQI+ cultural event in Austin. Experience the festival in September and watch for monthly screenings around town.
The Zilker Relays is a 10-mile team race. Each participant runs a 2.5 mile loop from one central festival/transition area. The team concept of the Zilker Relays is not unique, but the combination of a relay, festival home base, drinks and music, make this experience a favorite for runners of all calibers and ages.

Waterloo Music Festival
Carson Creek Ranch
Waterloo is an independent festival that celebrates the roots of Austin music culture, and will feature three full days of nationally renowned jam bands performing alongside the city’s finest musical acts during a weekend of camping.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas
Fantastic Fest is the largest genre film festival in the U.S., specializing in horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action and just plain fantastic movies from around the world.

Fall Pecan Street Festival
Sixth Street Austin
The Pecan Street Festival is a free, bi-annual juried music, arts and crafts festival held on historic Sixth Street. The show proudly features over 300 artisan vendors from all over the world who display and sell homemade art and craft work.
Austin Museum Day
Museums Across Austin
Organized by the Austin Museum Partnership, this special day features free exhibitions and activities at participating Austin-area museums and cultural sites.
Texas Craft Brewers Festival
The Texas Craft Brewers Fest is the largest beer festival for and by Texas Brewers. This annual event features the best of Texas craft beer and displays the thriving beer community across the Lone Star State.
This year, the Austin Saengerrunde will celebrate the 6th annual Austin Oktoberfest at Scholz Garten, the oldest continuously operating tavern in the state. This festival celebrates German heritage in Texas with beer, sausage, live music and bowling!

FIA World Rallycross
Circuit of The Americas
The World RX Championship is bringing sprint-style automobile racing to Austin. Drivers will be equipped with RX Supercars hitting speeds up to 600bhp, with the ability to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than two seconds. In addition to the rallycross, COTA will have multiple activations and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Austin City Limits Music Festival
One of the country's largest celebrations of music, this six-day festival brings the magic of the famed public TV series Austin City Limits outside the studio and into Austin's most beloved park with more than 140 musical acts on eight stages over two weekends.
Texas Teen Book Festival
St. Edward's University
This free annual festival celebrates the teen reading experience by inviting fans to engage with some of the most popular and critically acclaimed young adult authors in the country. Check out the schedule which is full of panels and signings with some of the best YA authors in the world.

German Free School
The German-Texan Heritage Society holds this annual festival, featuring live music, food, a biergarten, kid's activities and more at the German Free School.

This is one of the biggest Oktoberfest celebrations in town, spanning three days (and nights). Eat, drink, dance and play to your heart's desire at this all-out party on Rainey Street.

FORMULA 1 United States Grand Prix
Circuit of The Americas
International drivers will be in Austin this October to compete in the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas track. This event promises three days of racing, camping, live music events and more - including headlining performances by Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder for ticketholders.

Austin Area Jazz Festival

Viva La Vida Festival & Parade
Hosted by the Mexic-Arte Museum, Viva La Vida is Austin’s largest and longest-running Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival, and one of the few in the country with a parade.The festival features a Grand Procession, hands-on art activities and artist demos, and a celebration with traditional foods, local artist and retail booths, a low-rider exhibition, live music and performances throughout the day.

Texas Book Festival
Texas State Capitol Building
The Texas Book Festival has evolved into one of the premier literary events in the country and hosts about 250 authors each year. More than 40,000 book lovers of all ages attend the Festival annually, enjoying readings, panel discussions, signings, cooking demonstrations, live music, local food, YA authors, children's activities and exhibiting vendors from across the state.
