Diptyque Fragrances

In our opinion, one of the easiest ways to change the vibe and ambiance of your house is through scent. So, before you go and order that custom sofa, please take a visit to our favorite fragrance store - Diptyche.

If you’re not in on one of the worst kept secrets in the world of scents, let us introduce you. Diptyche is a home fragrance and accessories company that began in Paris in the stylish mid-century modern years of the late 50s/early 60s. Three friends with a passion for design came together, and Diptyche was born.

Lucky for us, Diptyche moved into the Domain NORTHSIDE in September 2016. Since it’s our go-to gift shop for our friends, family, and clients, we asked our favorite Sales Ambassador, Coco Garza, and she gave us the inside scoop to help you make the most of your visit!

Here’s your pre-shopping primer (with brand-specific vocabulary):

The candle that is the global bestseller company-wide is Baies. The scent is Bulgarian Rose partnered with berries. It also comes in various perfume gestures, such as soaps, balms, and fragrance.

In Austin, though, the most popular candle is Oyedo. It’s a bright, vibrant and effervescent mix of yuzu, green tangerine, cedar (fever not included) and thyme.

Coco’s personal favorite, which was launched in March 2018 and consistently remains in the Top 5 is Fleur de Peau. She swears that this is an absolute must in any perfume wardrobe and contains the delicate scent of iris, amberette seeds, and musk.

Looking for the perfect Spring candle? Try Lys, Diptyche’s newest addition to their candle ritual. Lys delivers a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut lilies with spicy accents. It was brought to the market with a sophisticated pairing of Nargulie (tobacco) to transport the client to an Eastern garden at dusk.

And the newest product that we just can’t wait to try? There’s a whole new fragrance category coming, called Fougere. And in this category, Diptyche is interpreting the fern in a scent named Eau de Minthe. The construction of this eau de parfume is fresh mint balanced with geranium. They promised us an intoxicating herbal experience, and we are here for it!

Make sure to mention to Coco that you heard about her and Diptyche through Engel & Völkers. (She’s awesome) And be sweet to her! She’s been known to sneak a sample into a bag, every now and then.
