Summer is now in full swing and with kids out of school the events around town are really heating up!  Below we have put together a list of our favorite events happening across Austin in June.


An accomplished Americana instrumentalist with foundations in jazz and swing music, Phoebe makes an impressive creative leap with Shanti's Shadow, available June 2. It’s the culmination of a five year journey that has taken her from her Austin roots through Music Row, Brooklyn, and even to India to study with seventh-generation master violinist Kala Ramnath. Along the way, Phoebe found her voice and delivered her most inspired set of songs to date.  Tickets available here.

With Spring in the air and weather warming up across the Capitol city Austin shows off what makes this city so great this time of year!  Below we have put together a list of some of our favorite events happening across the city from concerts to film fests to the famed Pecan Street Festival.

Before we head into the dog days of summer here in Austin, TX we get a quickly fleeting six week window of amazing warm Spring weather.  This April make the most of our Spring time weather and get out and enjoy the many amazing events happening across Austin from festivals like the Art City Austin Fest to a local favorite the Old Settler's Music Festival out at Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood.  Check out some of our favorites happening throughout Central Texas below.

March may be the best month of the year to be an Austinite or to visit Austin for that matter!  With the weather shifting to warming sunnier days and festival season kicking into high gear there is something happening everyday of the month.  This month's top picks include some of our favorite SXSW selections as well as an array of other family friendly events like the ABC kite festival.  


Lifting spirits. Lifting lives. Since 1929. Kick-off the spring at this year's ABC Kite Fest at Zilker Park on Sunday, March 5th!  Held on the first Sunday in March for the past 88 years, the ABC Kite Fest is one of Austin’s best-known and oldest annual events.  Get all the details here.

Now that we have made it to 2017 and cleared through the holidays its time to look forward to all the amazing events happening across Austin in January.  Austin knows how to celebrate the new year with the best of them, starting things off with the legendary 'Free Week' where many of Austin's famed music venues host free local acts throughout the first week of January.  Below we highlight this event along with many other of our favorites!

The Trail of Lights is part of the essential Austin experience, lighting up the season with a celebration of community, memories and fun. The annual Tree Lighting ceremony will be held on November 27th, then the 5k fun run will kick off the spectacular season on December 3rd. Plan your visit early and don't forget to take a spin under the Zilker Tree!
